Vagcom newbie........help

I have downloaded the shareware version and bought a lead of ebay.

Vag com seems to recognise the lead/interface, but using the system does not find any faults - and the Alhambra still won't start.

Is there a lot of difference between the shareware version and the activated/registred version? If so whats the best way to get the system activated?

Is it possible to download the activation software/password off the internet (e-mule, limewire etc)

Vag-com won't pick up on some of the really obvious things like a knackered fuel pump relay, dead coil etc

what are the symptoms

I couldn't possibley recomend guessing the software activation key, or where to find it. but it's out there.

The symtoms are that the car won't start.

There is a good spark and there is fuel being pumped to the engine. I've tried towing it off - but nothing works.

If i can't find the activation software - how much would it be from Vagcom..??

Or do you think it might not find the fault anyway
