Hey I was wondering if anyone could help, I've literally just bought a new Fli Trap 1000W sub and Vibe Amp, and Im wanting to get some new speakers to help with the power. The standards that are in my Vario atm are just absoloutly bunk. It sounds like you're inside a tin can. So, about 2 or 3 months ago, I bought some cheap Fusion 10cm speakers for the front to see if it would make a difference, it did a little, but the back ones are still crap. And upon getting the grills/pannels off, I saw speakers that I've never come across before! They were a really strange shape, sort of like egg shaped.

I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, and/or what speakers you would advise me to get? Because Im pretty sure that I wont be able to cut into the trim to get 6x9's in there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

If you choose to OE mount these may be one of the few upgrade options:

Do these look similar to yours?

or these:

If so out of these second batch I'd probably recommend these:

They are 4x6's got some JBL GTO's in mine, theyre good top end but can't handle bass at all.

Tried fusions as well which were even worse.

The speaker system in the front of a vario is a component set up with tweeters in the dash and mids in the doors. Quite a lot of companies do straight swapping systems of which pioneer have some of the best.

Hi,

I purchased some after market speakers from a company called huets. Thry are based in Brighton but their web site is very good.

Happy searching.
