Hey Jodrell, you should start a business supply 1/2 metre of noise curing tubing ! You'd make a mint as its clear its a design fault on Seats behalf as so many people seem to have it!

Yes I reckon seat should issue a modified part and fit it free as a recall, he he.

I bet the dealers would love all that labour costs charged to seat for a nice easy job!

I reckon your fix looks pretty robust B1rdy! You could drive the car off a cliff and it would still be intact! Ha ha!

Ha ha yeah I certainly added plenty of hose! In fact it was so tight trying to get it back together I removed a small section of then tubing adjacent to e LH and RH clips (for LukeFR's benefit you may want to do the same). It probably would have gone but I needed a third hand to try to push the clip out from the inside with a screwdriver whilst holding the intake together. Once again THANKYOU Jodrell for your help and everyone else in this thread that's contributed. I can honestly say the noise was making me wise I hadn't bought it and actually thought I'd been stitched up and sold a Lemon (especially when f***ing SEAT said they weren't sure what it was, maybe try a new flywheel (like its a 20p part or so to change!). Anyway, thanks again guys, I'm back to enjoying the car. Just need an exhaust now to finish it off
