how did u put bee sting aerial on i tried to unscrew mine and it gets stuck i need new one and mine has gone all funny

i had the same problem just kept twisting! i cant remeber wat i did...i think i used pliers and twisted the thread that hangs out of the bottom of the aerial.
undo it till it goes really loose. pull it up and twist the thread with the long nosed pliers worked for me.
just brute force i think.
and i started doing electrics then moved to mechanics and now im in sales. funny world.
