Few questions as im bricking it doing mine, I dont want to **** it up, what did you use to cut it. how did you do the badges as these will be the things im doing.

Leigh

i used a craft knife to cut the vinyl with :0

what you need also is a heat gun or hair dryer this softens the vinyl so you can stretch it
the grille come of easy there are 2 clips on the top of the grille use a flat screw driver to prise them up then the grille pops out

I removed the the badge from the grille by pushing the chrome part of the badge from the front (you have to do it at an angle)

after you get the chrome part out just cut the vinyl to size I did mine in 3 parts rather than all in one you will see what i meen once you have it out

Stick the vinyl on to the badge and use the hair dryer to soften the vinyl and stretch it around the chrome and a credit card to smooth flat If you get a crease or a bubble just peel off and heat the vinyl goes smooth and then reapply

Time wise it took me around 1hour :)

heres a link to someone doing there mirror

warning lol tho be careful when putting the badge back into the grille its very tight i tore my twice !! :censored: had to remove and redo lol
ended up using some silicon spray to help it slide in:D

the plastic part on the steering wheel comes off easy enough :D

There are 4 hex screws at the back just unscrew them and you can lift the front part off might need a gentle tug ;)

ok heres what i bought ..

got all off E Bay

600mmx300mm sizeVehicle Carbon Fibre Vinyl Sheet Black

Cost £3.84 inc P£P

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/carbonfibre888/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

The 600mm x 300mm will cover your grille x 1 and the badge 3 - 4 times but at £3. odds not that much if you need to get another to redo

the Gloss black vinyl ..

This was under £5 for 1mtr x 60cm so loads for fascia / pillars or whatever

also i got red A4 for inserts for grille

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1X-A4-SHEET-self-adhesive-vinyl-GLOSS-RED-/170597004925?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b85fb67d

This was £2 :)

I would recommend getting a felt squeegee this helps with flattening the vinyl without scoring it with your credit card ;)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Felt-Edged-Plastic-Squeegee-Sign-Making-/190493298579?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c5a490f93

This on is under £3 inc del

Hope the links help :)

Forgot to say the great thing about vinyl is that if you need to take it off it just peels away no problem and doesnt leave and sticky residue behind :D

Daryl

The center consile wasnt a prob to remove

use a credit card to prise off the radio fascia

I took out the radio as well and unscrewed the vent fascia this only had 2 screws at bottom

There are 3 plugs into the heating control which was a bit of a pain the remove but wasnt that bad and then the unit just slid out

Once out you need to remove the air vents and then unscrew the heating control unit

Heres what you should have

Radio Fascia

It is carbone finish on grille if weather is better ill see if i can get a clearer pic :)

The mirrors no got them sprayed for when i got the car do have the orig silver ones still planning to carbon wrap them later

no join m8 all im 1 bit :)

Cut the vinyl to size as 1 bit peeled the backing paper off and heated/stretched it then cut out middle and worked my way around

OK so I bought some gloss black vinyl today on the bay! I can already feel it will be wrapping mania. Mirrors, grille and lower lip go first, two laptops second! :) Or I might actually practice on laptops!

My phone became gloss black vinyl victim!

It's quite addictive, i've still not used it on my car where i bought it for though!

hey C4man, do you have any tips for wrapping the air vent part ? I've done some in carbon, fascia is easy but can't get the part with air vent right, always end up with a bubble and can't get rid of it without cutting the vinyl.

Cheers,

Prez

about that, every way I tried there's always one bubble. it's like the vinyl can't cover the panel evenly. I tried to heat it with hairdryer but didn't help
