has anyone tried taking the panel off and giving the connector a good blow which attaches to the actual stereo mine works fine tho just a suggestion

When I had my standard stereo, I found that turning off the 'auto adjust volume for speed' function solved this problem. With the temperamental nature of the Ibiza though, it could just have been mine.

OK guys and girls, I'm restarting this thread because my stereo is utterly doing my head in.

If I don't find a way to fix it soon I fear I will resort to smashing it into very small and disposable pieces :)

Has anyone ACTUALLY managed to sort it?

i used to have this problem, untill i took the PCB out, and sprayed electrical contact cleaner down all the gaps in the volume POT (well i thought it was a pot, but it isn't) then dried it out with a compressed air line.

Works fine now.
