Hi all,

I have a Leon Cupra 20VT that is coming up for its 80k service. The last service was carried out by my local stealers, L C Charles in Crewe, to be honest i wasnt overly impressed they seemed to do a good job of the service but didnt seem interetsed in any of the minor problems i had, plus when they "washed" her it looked like they'd used a brick!

Now my question....has anyone used Votex in Congelton for servicing and what are your opinions? Would i be better using a dealer or an independant specialist? Some of you mention Votex for revo, which im trying to resist but its like one of those annoying itches.....!

Also do any of you recommend using a flushing oil or a flushing addative on a high miler like mine, do these actually do anything or are they a waste of money?

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

EMPI5 on here uses them for everythin and ive not heard a bad thing about them plus if i remember correctly he used to have somethin to do with seat tourin car or his son used to race for them,so id say go for it mate you can only try.;)

Votex will look after you, nice bloke is Keith. :)

What Cuprasmiff was trying to get across is, Keith's son is James Pickford, touring car driver for SEAT Sport UK last year, 2004 SEAT Cupra Champion, Autosport Club driver of the year 2004. Overall a pretty good racing driver. ;)

With any luck, we might see James back in a touring car this year sometime.

But that aside, Votex are a good outfit, and get a glowing reputation from anyone ive ever spoken to regarding their service and profesionalism.

Agreed with whats been said, a lot of work has been done by Keith and Mike, and a lot more to follow shortly, Ive got no hesitation in recommending them, in this industry word of mouth is invaluable, and they have my vote.

Great guys, I've taken some of my cars to them in the past (I'd normally do most things myself).
They're normally quite busy (which is a good thing) so give them a shout, but you'll be looked after!

Dyno at???

Im having my car mapped next week at a place in congleton, cheshire. V****x ltd, (not sure if i can say the name or if its against the rules.) I just wanted to know if any one has used them b4, what are they like and do they have a dyno there?

Does anyone know if they have got a dyno then? I was just wondering how they map it really. Will it go on a rolling road for a power read out or do they just map it an just say it's running around so and so bhp?

They dont have a dyno, but they are friendly with a garage just up the road from them who do.... Unfortunatly its quite old fashioned and the graphs you get look like they do them on an etchasketch.

You wont go wrong., give them a try,

Im definatly going there just wondered how they map the car. How do they do it then? Just load the map and thats it? Will i actually know the figures or will it have to go on a dyno else where to find out?

Yes, revo is uploaded through the laptop, and then they will probably do a test drive.... You will have to take it on a RR to get the figures etc
