My brother has them fitted on his Golf GT and he reckons they are very good, much better than the michellins he had before and at a fraction of the cost.
I'm looking into replacing mine with those quite soon.
i have had them fitted to my accord last year. they where the most impressive tyre i have used in a long time.
they cleared deep standing water with no hit of aquaplaning, (70mph in very wet conditions).
they also have fantasic grip that is very progressive on wet and dry surfaces.
dry grip is crazy and gives pleanty of feedback.
only problem with them now is;
last year they cost me £68 each for a 225/45/17
now they are around £110 for the same size
Decided to get two of these for the rear end of my motor. Got quoted £121 per corner for 225/40/18's. Doesnt seem too bad to me after some of the reviews they've been getting!
I wouldn't combine them with a different brand. Besides the fact that I haven't had the beste experience with combining different front and rear tyres the sessantas are extremely grippy and in my case didn't do the car much good with Conti's in front. Now I got them on each corner and they are perfect (although they wear very fast).
Got Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy's on the front which are pretty grippy too so should be ok I hope?! Will be putting them on the front also once their needed!
Finally got around to putting these on the rear of my motor and they've just scared the poo outta me! I know tyres need running in a bit but my back end is awful now and keeps sliding out all the time!
I've also found that they've made my steering feel really light and twitchy even though I changed the rears! Pretty annoyed and worried to be honest!
Has anyone else who's had these tyres noticed that there was an improvment after they wore in and the release agent had been scrubbed away!? I'm hoping that they will get better or I think I'll have to bite the bullet and just buy two new tyres, these are terrible!
give them around 500 miles before you start hammering them. wait for the release agent to wear and the tyres to scrub a littlee, then enjoy the near endless grip.
