Has anyone else who's had these tyres noticed that there was an improvment after they wore in and the release agent had been scrubbed away!? I'm hoping that they will get better or I think I'll have to bite the bullet and just buy two new tyres, these are terrible!

I had these on my PD, thought they were great tbh, but you need to check the PSI in them, there are varying reports on what you should have in them but they need a higher PSI than most tyres, think i ran about 38/40 but when the garage fitted them they were at like 46psi, which made the car feel very light and twitchy.

If you dont like em, ill buy them off ya

Thanks mate! Mine are on the rear so are currently set to 29 psi as standard, are you saying this is too low for these tyres then?

Yikes! I'm after some new front tyres, have been considering these, but I think that has put me right off! The ride quality must be shocking at those pressures!

to be fair the ride quality on my PD was terrible anyway so couldnt fault the tyres

I put two Ultrac Sessantas on my Mk1 LCR in January replacing the GSD3s. The Ultracs went on the rear swopping the GSDs to the front.

The result was the handling went from solid and predictable to light and twitchy and very poor in cold damp conditions to the point on the way back from the tyre place I pulled over twice as I thought the wheel nuts were lose.

The GSDs on the rear were evenly worn and had 3/4 of the tread left. Opinions differ as some say never put the rears to the front and others say the balance is upset on the LCR unless all the tyres are the same make on each corner.

The tyres are now worn in but the handling is still way off from what it used to be. I was going to burn through the GSDs on the front this summer and replace them so I ve got all Ultrac but after reading this thread I m now considering offing the Ultrac.

Has anyone had this problem and cured it by having Ultrac on each corner?

i had them on all 4, couldnt fault them found them to be a lot better than my previous Pzero's, but getting the pressure is important. Its been a while now but i think i had 38 on the rear and 40 on the front, but it couldve been 40 on rear and 42 on front, i know that i never inflated them as per the website but they were a lot more than what i have now on my Bridgestones

I wouldn't combine them with a different brand. Besides the fact that I haven't had the beste experience with combining different front and rear tyres the sessantas are extremely grippy and in my case didn't do the car much good with Conti's in front. Now I got them on each corner and they are perfect (although they wear very fast).

Missed this when I first read the thread, but its given me hope!

Thats weird.Whats right then, im sure the tyre pressures on my fuel filler cap are the other way round with having a higher pressure in the front. Vredstein recommend the other way round??

i run 35 all round i think? something like that and have never had the issues anyone else has.

I had them higher at 38 before and it felt a little skittish over bumps compared... this for me feels the best for handling/ride etc. So i will be sticking with 35 all round and also will be sticking with these tyres as i have nothing to moan about.

Yesterday in the rain i only had a little wheelspin in 2nd and none in 3rd so they aren't too bad even in the rain...

I am getting a REVO map on Thursday so will have around 40lbft more torque over this bluefin map so will let you know how they are after that. It may be that anything above my torque / BHP and these tyres are not so good? Therefore on a cupra especially remapped, they dont handle it?

well my boss recommended these to me and he drives 300bhp GGR Focus ST, so i think they will do fine

cant be the BHP or torque then... dont know why others are finding them so bad... its a big contrast from us to them.

Just had 2 new tyres on the front, took about 250 miles for them to wear in to a point where the steering wasnt a little light, but now they are great...

I run my vreds on the front at 32 psi and have done for 8000 miles and they are wearing even.
When I put them on I put the vreds on the back and still had my pzeros on the front and found the back very twitchy.
After putting up with it for a 1000 miles or so I swapped them to the front and they seem better on the front, but not as good as my pzeros.
Everyones opinion varies down to car, road, driving style but I will not be replacing them with vreds.
Prob michelin or (pzero if I can live the noise)

I had P zeros on when i bought my car... and found them utterly ****... no grip at all. very strange how the same tyre can perform with such a massive margin on ultimately the same car...

Yeah strange as I say must depend on roads and driving style. I see your also lowered because I found that made the vreds worse.
