Just discovered the hard way that the spare supplied with my car isn't actually for an Exeo - seems to be a Citroen 4 stud wheel. Supplying dealer was Seat (bought second hand), and the car's been serviced 3 times by Seat since too - nobody noticed...

If I've got to buy a replacement spare, I'd quite like to get a full size spare - but can't find one at any breakers. (Can't even find any suitable steel rims either). Seems like the Exeo has a different offset to a lot of the Audi/VW rims and there aren't any ET45 rims on ebay etc. at the moment either.

Does have a Fenix alloy (factory fit for Sport spec) they'd like to sell? With or without tyre..

TIA

Are you sure it's ET43? The online info I found - and the info at http://www.wheelfitment.eu/ - said ET45 as did the sites selling Exeo specific steel spare rims.

Guess I will have to pull a wheel off again at the weekend and see hat the actual (Fenix) wheel says.

Are you sure you want a Fenix not a steel wheel ? My Exeo has Fenix wheels with a steel spare. This I understand is due to the nature of the tyres where the steel can be fitted to either side of the car but the tyres for the Fenix alloy wheels are rotation direction specific and can only be used on one side of the car ?

Thanks for posting the wheel info. I am pretty sure that there will be plenty of Audi and VW rims that match that spec.

The choice of rim would depend on the tyre fitted. Some tyres are indeed directional but the current trend is for non directional tyres and indeed the Continental Sport Contact that I have just removed from the front is indeed non directional, so that will work fine.

would an 18" fenix fit in the wheel well? ive a 59 exeo st sport & that's has a 16 steel as a spare

It will be close but I reckon that it will.

I replaced both fronts as a result of the puncture and have kept the unpunctured part worn 225/40 from the other side - that sits in the wheel well OK.

I can't find any Fenix rims but there are a few Audi/VW that are the same size/fitment/offset so I will likely end up with one of them anyway.

I love a happy ending!.

Figuring I had nothing to loose, I emailed the Seat dealers I bought it from over 3 years ago.

Amazingly they offered to provide me with a proper steel wheel and tyre. I asked about upgrading to an alloy and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I ended up with a brand new Fenix rim :)

:thumbup:A big thumbs up to Seat Barnsley!
