Want to fit a sound system/head unit - how?

Hiya guys, I'm new here. I've just recently bought an Ibiza TDI sport, nice little run about
It was the climate control intergrated head unit thingy. I have a sub, amp set of components and an Alpine head unit. I'd like to fit these in the ibiza if possible. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction of how to do this? Is it possible to mount the headunit somewhere else other than in the place of the standard unit? I'd like to keep the standard climate control unit in working order if possible. Thanks

I've just had a quick search and noticed it may be possible to just add speakers and an amp and use the standard climate control unit - is this really possible? if so, whats envolved?
Just to give a better idea, the actual items I have to fit are a sub and amp (10inch JBL) and a set of components (SPL dynamics, mids, tweeters and crossovers).
