Hi all

Had an odd thing occur today while out driving.

At around the 40 mph mark, the car 'pinged' at me and flashed '40 MPH' at me. The 'ping' noise was the same noise you get when warned about low fuel. This happened about three times today ... absolutely no idea what the car is telling me.

Any ideas?!

p.s. I have a similar scenario when driving in colder temps, the CPU pings when the temp outside hits 4.0 degrees.

Hi Andy

Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping it is something ilke this ... and nothing serious. Any idea on how I can unset it?

Haven't got my manual to hand so forgive my laziness here

It's a self set speed warning. Something the previous owner must have set up if you didn't do it. Can easily be removed but it's not a fault warning and it's absolutey nothing to worry about.
I've got mine set to 75mph as I do mainly motorway driving. It comes on to warn me if I have drifted over that speed.

Thanks Jamborino

I managed to disable it - don't ask me how! No more annoying bings for me :)

Cheers
