Warning Lights

Hi, the warning light show a fault with the preheating systems was flashing in my leon tdi. I tested the heater plugs and found one faulty. the light is still flashing. does anyone know how to reset this to see if the problem is fixed

reset the ecu?

as above ! to reset ecu dissconect battery for 30 mins. or if you got VAGCOM reset it with that.

cant ecu reset with vagcom... can clear the faults though

so will disconnecting the battery for 30mins reset the fault?

yeah, may not clear it off the ecu long term... should clear the light, unless theres another fault there

It will clear the fault light but not the code from the ECU, just get your dealer to clear it next time it's in for a service.

tried disconnecting the battery but that didnt work. leftb it into a garage 2nite so il get it back tomarrow and hopefully know wats wrong
