my leon is just overdue its 40k service. the word service flashes up when i start. at the last service they wrote, next service due aug 09 or 40900 miles. i waited for the miles instead of the date. now the coolant warning light and alarm sounds on starting, as well as the engine yellow light (pollution) according to the handbook.

are these set to come on as im overdue i wonder? i just find it funny as im due a service. if i switch off and turn back on the coolant one does not flash again, level checked and is ok!

only one at a service is Service, and starts at the 1000 mile remaining mark.

others need own attention.

coolant level, doe sit beep three times as well? -> give prongs a scrape & loads of threads.
pollution -> sorry no idea i drive a desel.

The pollution light is the engine management light, comes on when there is a fault and is nothing to do with the service light.
