Warning oil pressure light.....Help

My Seat ibiza 1.6 sport year 2000 cut out tonight when the warning oil pressure light came on and will not start, checked the oil leval and all is good.

Oh and when i say cut out i mean i was driving along and the engine just cut and will not start.

any mechanics on here that might have an idea ?

Well tried the sugestions above, but did not work so recovered to a mates garage and we discovered that the ecu had no power as the scanner could talk to every thing except the ecu.

Removed the ecu & found on opening it up that it had got hot & in a couple of locations the board was black & had burnt, so im after a replacment ecu if any one can help.
