Not sure on Seat’s attitude towards remaps, from reading around, as long as the map hasn’t directly affect the problem area they seem to be ok with it, but don’t take my word for it!

Not sure on time, was going to be about 6 but the guy hasn’t got back to me so not sure at the mo, hopefully he’s going to ring me before 4, which is when I was planning on leaving.

Aww thanks for that. Well good luck and let us know how you get on

from the handbook;

'according to the clauses of the warranty applied to seat vehicles in the sales contract, a fault free operation warranty of 2 years in accordance with legal requirements is provided from the date of delivery.'

small print 'as well as the legally required warranty, seat offers an extended warranty to their clients in some european countries. the specific conditions of this extended warranty are detailed in the vehicle sales contract.'

now i cant find my vehicle sales contract, but im pretty sure that the 3rd year of warranty has to be purchased before the end of the standard 2 year period.

'SEAT Leon Warranty
All new SEAT Leon registered in the UK come with a three year/60000 miles warranty, which protects your car against the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects. This comprises a two year manufacturers warranty with unlimited mileage plus a further one-year/60000 (whichever is soonest) Dealer Warranty. Should the mileage exceed 60000 miles within the first two year's, the manufacturer's two-year warranty will still be valid.

Three-year paint warranty
The paintwork of the SEAT Leon is covered against manufacturing defects for a period of three years. Naturally, the SEAT Leon must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions which will be found in your vehicle handbook.

Twelve-year Body Protection Warranty
The internal body section and panels of the SEAT Leon are covered against rusting through from the inside for 12 years. Naturally, the SEAT Leon must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions.'

Going to pick it up Wednesday after work, can't wait! Car was in really good condition, one or two stone chips but that was it! Drove really nice, no funny noises that i could here. Was told that the fuel pump was replaced after about 1k under warranty and thats it.

MY car has 3 year warranty as I had some work done a few months ago. Replaced a fuel injector. The warranty runs out December 2009 and the cars was registered December 2006

Congratz on the car mate! How much did you decide to pay after the full price? As Steve now you can start planning your mods. Get some photo's up for wednesday bet you cant wait to pick it up.

Met the guy half way, paid £13,200, which I think, looking round is a good price. Not sure on mods, quite fancy the skirts and spoiler, the alu trim kit also looks nice, look forward to seeing pics of yours Steve.

I'll stick some photos up, probably not till next weekend though, got a busy week ahead!

i've spent anopther 3 hours cleaning the front wheel and painting the disc/hub up. I should get the pictures of the trim up tomorrow after i've painted the garage3 door, then i need to do something with the spoiler wither paint it red or get it vinyl carbon effect.

I'm loving every minute of it, I can believe how quick it is, but coming from an 80bhp diesel Astra, it's not surprising!

Was just in the process of cleaning it as it needed doing and thought it look better for the following photos as promised, let me know what you think and thanks for all your help in the buying process!

Really does look nice. Once you get used to the power remap it. Once you have driven a mapped car you wont believe how rubbish std form is in comparison.
