Anyone tried getting the new gold washer jets, as i think they spray a 'fan' of water rather than the usual 2 jets, looks better, works better...?:p

Not heard of this one before.... where has the mod come from? Is it from another car or an aftermarket option? Any more info?

can't see how they can be changed as they're built into the plastic at the base of the windscreen i think

old man's T5 jets are very very good. but err £15k leon vs a £30k motor i should think so...

i havent honsestly looked at my leons washers but i ave wanted a new gold washer jet set for ages as its a very nice fan of water which covers most fo the screen and seems ot be precise etc. ill look at mine asap and check out the golf ones.

so theyre not aftermarket, just the washer jets from the new (mk5?) golf. and some other newer cars, possibly focus's etc, cant remember

I seeeee. Might be worth looking into then as if the only difference is the jet itself, it might be possible to swap them over?

don't care whether it's gold or not just as long as it has a good spray pattern...

thats the washer so it IS a normal style washer jet, so should be easily removed and swapped for golf ones! I will have a bash at doing it and take pics on the way, as it does give an amazing spray lol

Good stuff. If it works out ok can you let us know what's involved and the part numbers and prices of the bits you need?

If they are actually gold... they will be getting painted black before fitting ;)

certainly agree with you there.

I'll await Boz's further findings ;) consider yourself guinea pig :p

cool, and .... just realised what the 'GOLD' convo was regarding, i meant VW GOLF lol stupid typo!

my msn is in my sig if anyone wants to add :D

otherwise ill get the part nukers along the way happily :)

apart from the part 'nukers' damn my fast typing! Part NUMBERS to avoid duke nukem fans getting in on the convo!!!

I'd be interested in this mod too - provided it's not too costly or complex (I'm a complete numpty when it comes to mechanical stuff)!

Sounds like a huge improvement over the crappy standard jets!
