Hi

sorry if this thread has been asked before

The leon fr 170, does it suppose to have a low washer warning light come on

cheers

Yes .. no .... Yes .... no .... Yes..

Use the search to understand the above answer ;)

Some cars have them - some dont .... Some have them because they have the MFD some dont have them even though they have the MFD. Some have them because they have xenons, some dont.

Try your washers until, they are empty, if your not told your out of washer fluid then you dont have the light ....

I think the general consensus was that you normally get the warning light and beep if you have Xenons, with the large MFD adding an additional warning light.

The MFD alone normally won't add this feature, but I believe there have been one or two exceptions to the rule.

My cupra has the warning and really glad it does too.

My car doesnt't have a sensor on the passenger seat for the seatbelt either but pleased about that too.

My tdi Leon before this had none of the above, nor did it have a any warning for the belt whatsoever.

It's a lottery me thinks.

my old MY04 cupra did have it. as did my 2001 ibiza cupra
New MY08 FR doesnt which i think is crap.
Anyone know if you can retro fit or would it be too much PITA?

For goodness sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many threads with the same question!

Why do'es not someone "volunteer" to do the test on each model.

OK. I have a TFSI FR DSG with bluetooth (THE LARGER SCREEN!!!) Against my better judgement I will allow my windscreen washer to run dry and let you know what happens!

Sorry if I come across as an arso** on this peeps but I do so HATE a dirty windscreen. Consequently I ensure it is re-filled each week.

The problem is, some cars with exactly the same spec don't while others do!

It would be interesting to figure this out, but we we need a little more information from everyone... Along the lines of:

Model: FR TFSI DSG
Xenons: Yes
Bluetooth: Yes
Convenience: Yes
Winter: No

Washer Warning Light: Yes - on MFD + Beep

Thats the spec of my car to start it off.

fM

EDIT: Emm, do you have Convenience Pack?

Cupra stu, is the warning light in the mfd?

Hmmn, I believe so, there are a series of symbols that only appear when they need to of course. I don't have the larger mfd as I don't have bluetooth. I also had the faulty light warning symbol appear in the same place when there was a fault there.
