Hi i have a 2000 seat leon tdi 110bhp. The vanes in the turbo have just gone and need to get it reconditioned. However i'm considering of upgrading to a bigger turbo! Any ideas wat i should go for?

Not too sure what i'm talking about, so excuse me if it sounds stupid! But is my car a pd? And will this turbo fit straight on?

pd

Hi, no your car is not pd but thats to do with the enjectors not the turbo.
Use a vnt1749 either va or vb spec pd130 from pd150 you might find allards have some good used units, or try ebay:

but be careful beacause the turbo outlet and exhaust must match up - this requires a 90 degree pipe bend sometimes

Cheers

Tried sending u a PM WW_VRS but u have too many messages! Do you know if ur turbo will fit straight on, or if any other modifications need to be carried out?

Sorry I got a message about it - mine's been sold just a few days after I posted that, not been on much here since and in Holland now.

I *think* it fits straight on as it comes with the manifold - just in case. It is quite possible that you can pick up a turbo relatively cheap from one of the guys that upgraded to a hybrid for example. Hope you get lucky :)
