its getting more and more obvious that Auto Express must be taking backhanders from Seat. Yes a lot of other people like the Cupra, but every single review/comparison/topX list that AE do they seemingly biasedly (if thats a word) splurge over the cupra without any downsides.

the annoying guy in this video has a smarmy comment to make at the end of each car except the cupra.

why is it that every single AE reviewer has the same things to say about it too. seems a bit strange that they ALL feel the exact same way when other publications seem to be a lot more averaged out in terms of staffs comments about it.

I have read AE for many years and they always had a liking for Fords, and all the tests seemed to have a Ford win. This has changed with the MK3 Leon, which no matter what model has been tested has been the winner, which never happened when they tested the Ibiza models. So not SEAT lovers, but just the current Leon, which is a great car so no conspiracy then.

As it won their own car of the year award its unlikely they'll undermine that award by not winning the head to heads that they run.

It won that in 2013, if that comment was true there would never be a new car of the year as the current one (Mini - 2014) would win everything.

I'm not so sure. EVO magazine always have great things to say about the Cupra in reviews and they have one on their fast fleet (as do AE I think).

my point was that AE seem to constantly gush about it and not have much bad to say about it. other publications seem to be a bit more fair/balanced in their review (even though giving it a good review).
smells of either fanboi'ism or some sort of marketing deal. in my opinion anyway.

My car looks lovely on track does it not [B)]Glad i got an extended w/tee :D

Im really enjoying it at the mo. Ive owned Golf gti,s mazda 3 mps, tried the focus st and renault megane but settled on the cupra. Feels very controllable when pushing and very comfy when cruising. Saying that i use it weekends and the other half drives it mostly

No Focus ST in that list. Fail.
but there was the comedy fiesta ;) to be honest a good few of the list were really not ones which should fall into a hot-hatch category. hot hatches are focus/leon sized cars. not fiesta, swift, octavia.

Not really just stating why I think it is top of the current hot hatch pile.
Plus I own the the test car ;)
Evo gave it a good review and list it in the top 5 hot hatches out.

If you watch the cupra v megane RS auto express review he actually prefers the megane.
