Hi all, decided to change the the boot light in my leon last night and after removing the three holding screws a dribble of water came out from behind the panel (only about 20ml) but ive noticed that there is always a little condensation in the rear lights. Im presuming that the water must be coming in from the rain run off but anyone seen this before and know of a fix for it.

As for the light, the LED feston bulb (think they are called that) is alot brighter than the standard bulb but wish that the actual plastic light fitting let more light through. If anyone knows a VW or an Audi one that i can change mine for can you please let me know

Cheers all

Check you rear wash for leaks as the water pipe goes past the light and when mine stopped working i had filled the recess behind the panel all i needed was the fish.

cheers for the info mate, take it it passes on the side that has the boot light in it? Did it fill the rear 1/4 panel or was it the boot panel? Still got water coming out of the washer but the little plastic nozzle is snapped on mine (that reminds me i need to order one now) so the water doesnt spray onto the window it just trickles out :(

right have the new plastic nozzle but still water is only just trickling out of it onto the rear window (take it should be squirting with some decent pressure), so going to check the pipe later on. Just wondering if there are joints in the pipe or if it has just split and if so how have people repaired theirs. Thiinking that it must be still attached at the end and must have a leak or something blocking the pipe!!??!!

I've recently had a similar problem, lack of pressure and water leaking in to boot. Removed boot panel and testd, found water leaking straight back through where spindle/ motor goes through.
Removed the metal plate covering mechanicals and removed wiper arm and spindle. There's a brass pipe that runs through which was broken, temporarily repaired with some washer pipe hose until I get a new one... cured for the moment.
