Water pump as just gone (now with picture of pump)

got my new water pump from TPS but the impeller is plastic/fiberglass. I have been told that metal impellers are not available any more. Which one did you get Lee?

You can still get them. Awesome-GTI still sell them.

I found that the Seat Dealer I used couldn't source one but also it wouldn't be covered under there 2 year guarantee. Perhaps other dealers have a different policy I don't know .

Forget the metal impeller - its an urban myth. The material used has changed and does not suffer the problems the originals had. we only supply latest most recent SEAT/VAG

Why would they continue to make the plastic ones nevermind discontinue the metal one!

I had a lot of trouble when I wanted my cambelt done trying to get someone to supply and fit a metal one.

As I understand it the TT is only fitted with the metal one?

They are both the same price so it makes no sense to carry on using the plastic ones..
