Hi All

Its that lovly time of year where the inside of my cars windscreen has started icing up inside again, so thought great there must be a leak again. :censored:

So took the door panels off again and had a look. Can see water has now been coming in through the bottom of the speakers. I have taken them out and siliconed it all around the speaker mount but can see the rear of the speakers has got wet as showing a bit of rust [:@]

As the installer who fitted the aftermarket speakers has long closed down i do not know if there was anything on the original seat speakers that protected them????

Have been searching online and best thing i can see to help protect them is by using Foam Speaker Baffles?

Can anyone advise what they have used after fitting aftermarket speakers?

Cheers.

Silicone all the way round the speaker mount.

Water was leaking from bottom of speaker so build a little wall using silicon. (Blue was where the water was draining into car.)

When i replaced my speakers a few years back, i remember they had a half round dome plastic cover that fitted on top of the speaker. This was too fiddly to refit so i opted for some waterproof speakers as replacements :)

Thanks for the heads up, god knows where i can buy the rear covers from? Searched online but every hit i found for Foam Speaker Baffles was either as US site $$$ or ebay where they were like £12 with £15 P&P :censored:
