Weird Air Con Issue

My Leon aircon is playing up. basically i got i regas last year at Kwikfit. Then over Winter not really used it. I have now tried to use it but its not working. Basically you can't hear the compressor operting. Checked Diagnostics and it shows voltage but no RPM of the compressor. However oddly the compressor most of the time and fans don't operate but now and again i saw the fans and compressor fire up and clearly the compressor was visibly operating/clutch etc.

Even when the compressor was seen to spin up i still had no cold coming from the fans.

Any ideas?

All sorted, went to my local Seat Specialist. They checked and the gas level was below 25 (??) so filled it back up and now its ice cold again. They said the compressor was trying to fire up but as it was so low is couldn't.

At least it wasn't the compressor!!

I'd be wanting to know where the gas went?

I used mine last summer and again today ( and in-between) still ice cold.

if its not used regulary i heard the seals can dry up and leak... so best to just use it now and again i suppose. also if its a small leak some air con gas come with leak stop when you top them up.

some times if there is too much gas in the system then the compressor wont work.....i had some absolute muppet from halfrauds insist that he could do it with those air con can things...and then i had to take it to a garage to have it properly drained and refiled.
