Hi everyone,
I’ve been dealing with a noise coming from the front wheels on my Cupra Leon VZ SP 2022 (310 hp) for over a year now. It happens when turning the steering wheel sharply or while maneuvering — sometimes it’s louder, sometimes less noticeable.
It almost sounds like metal on metal. I’ve already discussed it with two dealers — one replaced a driveshaft boot, the other even replaced the left inner joint, but eventually a local specialist told me it’s a normal characteristic and that everything is fine.
However, I’m not completely convinced, because the noise keeps getting worse over time. Sometimes I can even feel vibrations in the accelerator or brake pedal when it happens.
On a Golf forum I found a similar issue, and in that case it turned out to be ABS/ESP intervention, but in my case there’s no warning light on the dashboard, and it still happens even with ESC turned off — unlike the Golf example I saw.
Here’s a link to the video.
Has anyone experienced the same problem, or even better — managed to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
