Ditto, reductions in equipment levels didn't occur until after 2010. I think the rear speakers became optional at some point during 2012.

Current Ibiza's still have 6 speakers, they just don't advertise the tweeters in the front as seperate speakers any more (and rightly so IMO). I've currently got a 1.2 S as a courtesy car and even that has them, and the FR that I've got ordered comes with them too, as well as the SPS system which includes sat nav, Bluetooth, micro sd for music, etc.
I'm also glad that DRLs are optional, they are the modern day Lexus lights, they really are starting to look like a tacky cliché!

Motorcycles that rode around with lights on for visibility now just blend in to a sea of DRL's

What's with these stupid spotlights?? Coming on and off all time doing my head in. Anyway to turn them off? Or just take bulbs out?

They are cornering lights, I find them quite helpful at times but each to their own. They can be turned off using Vagcom.
