what chassis is the ibiza 1998

can anyone tell me what chassie the ibiza 1998 is the same as EG. the golf mk3 or mk2

Nothing, it is an ibiza, based upon polo 6n platform, but with a mk2/3 golf front end.

the mk3 ibiza is "6K2"

both 6K in principle as seat regard the mk3 more as a facelift because the platform hadn't altered design but the 6K2 seems to be widely adopted and useful to seperate the two

for the anoraks the factory dates mk2 last run was 30.06.99 & mk3 started 01.03.1999 so a few months crossover
