I have been thinking about getting the stereo, heater surround and the stero surround wraped. Am toying with the idea of gloss black, matte black, very deep red, or maybe carbon fibre dip(looks like real CF not the cheap vinyl) this is what it looks like at the moment.

Any ideas or pictures welcome :)

Mmm that's interesting. Not sure with on the speedo but could look nice on the long bug of plastic on the doors.

Think the red carbon dip could look nice as my seats are red/black so will go well i think. Cheers mate. Still unsure on the stereo bits tho. I'm leaning towards matte black as iv heard gloss may be difficult when the suns glarring. Also matte does look really cool

Matte Black for the main parts of the dash/stereo would look smart with red carbon as accents/highlights on the gear lever surround, air vent surrounds, door trim etc. Just enough to break it up a bit.

I'd go for a combination of matte black and red carbon, as Redemption said. They're more subtle and classy looking, therefore not a distraction when driving. :D

Hmm. That's more than I'd want to pay. Having said that, it's probably a tricky job getting it done around the dials/vents and curves etc.

He quoted 20 to do the rear S boot release. I'm gonna give that a go myself. Ill see if other places csn better that price.

I did mine myself ,Got the vinyl off ebay . Took about 2 hours to do mine , the top heater piece is abit tricky but i just took my time and made sure it stuck properly . I have a different stereo surround to you as mine is just surrounding the stereo unit . Does the face detach off the standard stereo unit ? If so i would have a good yourself for what it costs and if its no good just pull it off :)

Loads of threads on hear about vinyling . Its really not as hard as it looks !!

I guess its worth a shot. Do you wrap tge vinly around tbe edges or just cut off at the edges. Iv tried wraping before but i used a crap knife and a weak ass hair dryer. Bow have a heat gun and decent blade. Did you wet the surface beforrle wrapping?

Well i just removed the stereo and there are 2 star bolts to release the heater section , undo them and there are about 4-5 clips holding it on to the dash . Pull the cover off carefully and disconnect the blow heaters . I dnt know about the stereo as urs is the standard unit , does the face disconnect of the unit? if so it looks easy enough . Good luck if you do have ago . Matt black would look good !!
