what coolant and how much?

hi guys

I have just purchased some THS coolant and radiator hoses and am looking to fit them today hopefully. Im guessing i have to drain the coolant to fit them all right?
If so, what coolant do i put back in, and how much of it am i supposed to use before topping up with water?

G12 you need, halfords sell 5 litres of it for £20.99 cheaper if you have there trade club though.

Thats a good buy - I paid abount £7-8 for a 1ltr bottle at GSF the other day.

as said id use only vag coolant. dont top up with water.. coolant only.

where do i drain the coolant from?

To drain coolant from radiator remove drain plug from radiator.

To drain coolant from engine also remove coolant hose from oil cooler connection.

ive bought 5ltr of anti freeze from a car spares place, made by 'comma' and its the red one, cost me £20.99. would that be ok?

Read the back of it and see if it confirms to the spec of G12.
