Well the Mib2 high screen turned very blue yesterday. Vaguely remembering what people have said in the past that they change colour in freezing weather... I did nothing. Glad to report after it warmed up it went back to the correct colour ?.

-1'c today and it had turned blueish.... Not so bad as Tuesday. This is the 2017 screen that they were fitting on the launch Atecas.... might be some difference on yours.

Virtual pedal and the cat !. Scored yesterday, ran under the back when I was calling him in, seconds later the back raised nearly hitting me. A fault, what caused that ?... no we know how that happened

Changed the remote battery.... the dealer must have changed it when they did a Kessy update. 2025 not the 2032 hack. I admit I didnt take the anti bite sticker on the new one, I forgot to take it off, but did test before I clipped it up. No red light. That red light is the telltail without getting the meter out. I'll blame on the dealer swapping out months ago the 2032 for reasons unknown. Expect the firmware update or whatever didn't go well so though... flat battery.
Morel here... make sure you take the anti bite sticker off when changing the battery even if flummoxed.

Having bought this car new in July 2020, the plan was to p/ex at five years for another new one. However, it's only done 20k miles in that time and is still pretty much as new so I don't see the point. Sale postponed!

Hmm, it's had a few blips here and there over the last five years. The latest, a few weeks back, was the driver's door electric window doing it's own thing. A few days later it was okay.
Compared to our other cars, present or past, it's been the only one with tech issues.
I haven't had the window motor give way yet... but on all previous cars yes. The ABS did play up a year ago. Two sensors down and it upset top view, the reversing camera and a load of errors on the dash. I did a Obdeleven clear errors. I was on holiday. It fixed for a time then off it went again. Dealer knew exactly what it was when I got home and Obdeleven did report ABS... just that once it picks up that fault it then terminates top view and the reversing camera.
£xxx many down, ABS sensors replaced as good as new. The other one was a pollution monitor sensor, being a diesel throw a raspberry on that. Failed sensor that triggered the warning. Still driveable. The ABS issue made reversing tricky with no camera.
With more tech in the car you can expect more to go wrong.

I slipped it into 4drive in the snow and ice. No issues. The power switched between the wheels. I sense it with 4 drive. Sheer black ice outside. I notice the neighbour slid out with their wheel turned . 4 drive is handy when you need it. Those all weather tyres above.

The Ateca became a self respecting 4Drive on all weather tyres today, got the discs and the rest done. After four years the factory fitted Bridgestone Dueler were showing wear and the rubber was cracking.
These will be good for any snow we might get. Live 1.5 miles off the main road up a hill in rural Wales in a village... these should stop you from getting stranded in or out - we hope. No discernable sound difference.

Yes and after ten years the fancy alloys are not so fancy too look at.... not bothered thou.
