Slamka33, Do you have a smart repair company near you. I had something very similar on my last car £80 saw it back to perfect.

Sorry I am assuming you are in UK, but I am sure you will have a smart repair company wherever you are lol

Rude it is from anybody, regardless who did it.
I don't understand how somebody can scratch your car and do nothing, just run out. It will cost them nothing, only 10min of paperwork. Their "basic law insurance" will pay mine repair and it will not have any impact on their costs of this law insurance...
And if it was done in service (like I wrote, I am nearly sure), they have to have insurance for such cases as well!
But this is something people don't understand so they rather run out. Crazy!! [:@]:censored:

I do not know any smart repair company here. But will check possibilities..

I got it from vagoem:

https://www.oemvag.es/en/home/1387-main-key-chrome-cap-5g0837599a.html

was like £12 or something after delivery. Requires a t6 torx though to change - the only one I didn't have to hand when it arrived.

Thanks!

I've already glued the fob cover on! I wonder if it's still possible to open up without damaging the cover! The bonding agent seemed quite strong!

Ah yeah - good luck with that! I have a feeling you may want to buy the cover from that site too! It may come off in little pieces :(

Yep, think I'll give the chrome cap a miss for now! At least I put in a new high quality battery in the key before I glued on the cover!

I was going to do that...but I'm living on the hope that given the car was brand new 5 months ago, that the battery won't need changing for at least 2 years in either of the keys.

I've started to build my own Cupra bumper grills. This is only stage one so far, still need to sand it smooth and make it gloss black:

Installed my dashcam and got new floor mats in today.

Gave it it's first wash since collection. Had to get all the bugs off from a long drive home.
Waxing tomorrow :D

After spending £150 on car washing things I thought I'd better used them.

Now I haven't received my pressure washer yet so I had to use a power wash at a Fuel station so I couldn't give it a full wash instead opting to rinse the whole thing down, applying Valetpro Bilberry pro wheel cleaner and my Nanolex prewash. The I rinsed it all after a couple of minutes and dried the whole thing using the method my detailer taught me. Got home and polished all the glass with stoners invisible glass cleaner. I'm pretty happy with it but I'll do it again next weekend.
After taking these pics, I'm finally starting to come around to the colour. Looks ace in these particular lighting conditions.

Decided to wrap the badges front and rear, and the Cupra lettering in the boot with 4D carbon wrap. Looks great in the sunshine. Had some left over so solved my stained wheelnut cover dilemma and capped them with the same. Too much spare time on my hands some might suggest.......
