Ditto!!! Just spent £1.5k in my head lol I’m suffolk and there’s no one like that

£2k after adding South tax lol...

There are plenty of people in Suffolk with VCDS if you can do the installation yourself. I used to do diagnostics and retrofits for people with VAGs, Ford's and PSA cars but haven't done it for the last couple of years. Cruise control retrofits were the most common at the time...

Glad I've seen this thread though. I knew Kieran from a previous forum and have seen a couple of his FB posts about Digi dash retrofits...had no idea it was his business! He was a detailer last I knew. Car scene seems to be a small world, or maybe I just spend too much time on forums. :)

Always try and do the installs myself. Mix of being engineer and being blown away by some people’s hourly rates lol!!!

Where abouts are they??

Are you on Instagram or Facebook? If you've got a few local VAG followers, it's worth an ask. Even if they don't have it themselves, they'll often know someone that does.

I know a few around Ipswich area, one somewhere near Diss (if he still does it), and then there are a few VW specialist garages, though they'll charge more of course. There's also some on eBay/Gumtree. As I say, I've been out of the game for a couple of years myself so not sure who's still doing what now but I can't believe there's no one near you with it.

I didn’t have to take bumper off for mine. Under tray and turn the wheels was enough for mine. But others may do different options

Little bit laggy cause 2gb of ram but it works ok for what i want to do with it.

Sailed through it's MOT today mind you at 6 years old and only 23k miles on the clock i didn't expect any issues!

Also had the MOT done. Single advisory this time. NS Rear tyre slighty damaged

Forgot to mention that my headlights were out of alignment - as the rear dropped down a bit more when lowered - and my rears are knackered from the last track day.

New bits arrived this morning. Now i need to start to save for the discs and pads. Those are not cheap!

I admit - these look really good!

Is it a bumper off job? How easy is it to run the cable to the glovebox unit?
I only took off half the bumper as that's really all that's needed.
Running cable was pretty easy. It's just pulling trim off and cable tying the wire to existing ones

Had my cambelt, water pump and tensioner done today, £475. Car is only 5 years old and 56k miles. Never had a car that's had the cambelt changed this soon before, but if that's what the manual says!
