I have done the boot lid and yes it does open with the key, it is quite difficult to close but I've gotten used to it. The misses on the other hand complains bitterly about it. I have however recently popped a clip in the trim on one handle by pulling it too hard. So now I use the other handle I would recommend doing it every day of the week.

How did you do it? What parts, where from, difficulty? Thanks

Fitted my gas bonnet struts, the instructions has them to the outside but I felt they looked better on the inside of the engine bay.

The only thing I’ve noticed is they don’t half spring the boot lid open, a bit too harshly in my opinion.

I got them from the group buys page on here where you just email Andrey in Russia who sends them over, cost just over £40.

Before anyone points out why it sprung open to quickly.... I had them on upside down, sorted now opens perfectly smooth, closes down with enough force to take a finger but that’s fine.

Nice little mod well worth it, haven’t bothered removing the stick for holding the bonnet up yet, doesn’t really make it too untidy.

I bought them off ebay, stabilus was the brand, they cost 27 quid although can't send you a link as the post expired. It was very easy HOWEVER I did managed to drop to boot on my head which wasn't too clever.
You've to take both struts off first as the ones you get are very slightly longer. It's literally remove the clips, pop them off and put the new ones on.

Finally...after a 3 week wait the 2 piece floating discs have arrived courtesy of Reyland Motorsports for the brembo 8 pots, they look huge. Now to try and book time in to get them installed before the next meet.

Would you mind weighing them and your calipers please :)

@Damo H, would you like individual weight with the pads and pins etc, or just the two discs and calipers.

@Damo H, the 2 piece floating discs are coming in at 9.9 kgs each and the brembo 8 pots are 5.1 kgs each. So we are looking at 15kgs each side, don’t know what the stock set up weight is. Who cares anyway, there gonna look the tits.

Lighter than stock. This is the info on the Stage 3 kit from Racingline in comparison with the stock kit...

Well if anyone has been reading my posts about the bbk that I've had for a while now you will be pleased to know that the St and the bbk is booked in at my local garage on Thursday, I'm super excited about this.I will try to get some photos to compare the stock brake set up to the new discs and brembo 8 pots.

Trip from the coast to the MK and back again.

Very pleased was worried the upgraded high pressure fuel pump was going to impact car badly, looks like it dont.

Yes I was expecting it to be very bad even though the garage did say the fuel pump only really comes into its own at very high revs (but they would say that as they dont pay for the fuel). I think the answer is you need to fit a bigger turbo, that's the only bit your are missing to be the same :)

Just returned after a 2 week holiday in Denmark. My19 Cupra is a very nice long trip car... the adaptive cruise control is amazing and the extra power available when cruising on the german autobahn is incredible from a 2.0L engine. It's a bit louder at higher speeds than my previous Leon 2015 tdi 184 but it's a nice deep tone from the exhaust.
Only down side really is the average 34 mpg on a 2000 miles trip. It happily did 44 mpg when keeping it at around 65-70 mph, but who wants to do that all day
