@TripleBob Add:
- a new dogbone mount in there whilst you are at it
- New rubber spring isolators top & bottom
- New suspension arms maybe? They are about 30-50euro a piece

Also don't forget to align it afterwards ;)
Dogbone mount is already ordered and on the list!
Which isolators do you mean?

@tracktoy I’d already ordered 4x of these for the subframe - WHT006844 which afaik are always required for the aluminium subframe? They’re on all the parts diagrams for them. Or are yours something different?

Don’t suppose you know a part number? I’ve already ordered these:
5Q0 412 249 F

Just ordered the upgraded mk8 golf control arms, which don’t alter camber etc and have a newer style solid rubber bushing rather than the older hollow one.
And the longer subframe bolts and collars needed for retrofitting the aluminium subframe

@TripleBob Don't listen too much @tracktoy he will bankrupt you with all those shiny parts
As @nd-photo.nl told you I will make you spend money for the shiny parts so afraid you cant blame me this time.

However as you are doing the front and rear how about a pair of these (and you can blame me for these)

on a serious note though whilst you are in there have you thought about fitting braided brake lines (if you have not already done it

For my chassis they would be:

Isolator top: 5Q0512149A
Isolator bottom: 5Q0512297B / 5Q0512297D

And apparently I also need:
Spring clip: 5Q0525691C

Parts 5 + 4 + 3

After going round in circles, I think the latest part numbers I need are parts 3, 5 and 16? As your part numbers either show up as replaced by or aren’t available anywhere

@tracktoy nope they’re beyond my price range! They’re more than the B8s, springs and super pro arms have cost combined!!!

Might phone the local dealership to find out exactly what part numbers still exist for the rear shock pads - as I’m going in circles back to parts that seem to not be for multi link.

Also caved in and ordered braided brake lines - these are the only ones I could find that say they definitely fit a 184 estate with electric handbrake

I know it's more money but these are a good upgrade in my view. Now stop just get this stuff on and enjoy the new motor
