i didnt like the old wiper on my car, dont think many people do so i went for a vu aero wiper on the rear. Im really not sure about it but it was cheaper and dead easy to do, rather than the usual polo conversion. Just wondered what you thought of my rear ? ;) and what do you use to clear yours ? i know some people on here dont even wipe their rear  hence no rear wiper. thought i better add that bit.

Comments appreciated

stig..

I took mine off on my TDi Sport - looked much better IMO.

Trading it in for an FR now, haven't decided if I'll take that one off yet!

It's a 13 inch aero vu wiper. Got it on ebay for a fiver!! Bargain . Will try and find link .

Can't find link but that's the one, just search for it and you will find it from raceparts, hope this helps ?

looks better than the standard one.i currently have the polo one on and when it wipes it misses out a big patch on the rear window and makes a loud screech as it rubs against the glass (needs a bit more filing down) but dont use it that often so doesnt really bother me mostly just for looks, always been tempted to de-wiper it tho.

I don't use mine either lol, mines just for looks mostly . Think I will stick with it as it looks better in the pic than I thought .

But seriously - mine (standard 06FR), suits me fine. My fronts were an issue following a dealer service, when I ran into a thunderstorm on the way home, and there was much screeching and juddering. When I got home, I checked the set of the blades, and they were set to the right angle, but wrong direction! I reset them, and since then, no problem. One thing I do, when they're not going to be used for some time, is put a block of polystyrene between arms and screens, so they don't take on a set of their own.
