Been to see this today...

56 (2007) plate with 6000 miles up at 13495.

It's up at 13495.. I know you can find them brand new around and about for 14000. Going to offer 12000 and go no higher than 12500 (If I offer a decent deposit).. What do you reckon my chances are? Place your bets now!!!!! I'm hoping with time of year (christmas - slow sales?) and end of month (targets??) I might be able to get a decent chunk off!!

start at 10500 but go no higher than 12000, just pretend to walk away if they don't go for it and wait for them to say...............................let me go speak to the manager ;)

I got 3k off the window price of my FR in mid/late december 2005 :D

BTW that is a pukka colour too

they probably only paid 10k for it

Cheers :)

I suppose it's worth a shot with time of year and everything.. I really hope this goes in my favour!! hahahaha

good luck to you mate, sales man put me on some friends and family discount which got me so much off not sure why didn't know him???

Sadly.. It's off. I'm totally gutted. But insurance has basically said they want another grand to change to this car :| That takes my premium to 2600.. Which can smb tbh!!! New quotes come to 2k.. They wouldn't do anything about it. Keeping the 206 'til april then :(
Bets on not being able to find a yellowun in april!

Shop around alot more for insurance if thats the only sticking point.

Mine is now £452.70!!!!!! All mods declared!!! There are bargains out there!

Try Greenlight!

How old are you mate?

19, which is why £2k was so appealing, lol

lol not surprised then. Insurance has gone up quite some margin in the last year. I paid 2.8 grand just to insure my 1.4 albeit im 18 with 0 NCB and live in south east london.

Dont blame you for trying though, if I got quoted 2 grand on a cupra Id chop my car in also.

Was that quote under your name, and how much NCB have you got?

If your only 19 and your gonna struggle with the insurance why not go for the FR, chip it and put a front mount and TT brakes on it?????

It will then be quicker than the standard Cupra.

Could there be a chance that those mods then push his premiums past that of a cupra?

Insurance will be fine in April. They only want more because they use the values I entered last year (So driving experience will be 1 year to them :s) FR doesn't really appeal as I don't want to modify anything now really.. Sounds like a lotta fuss, and insurance would still cost more with those kinds of mods declared? How much would stuff like ESP/EBA/TCS cost to get fitted as well!? I haven't seen many FRs with that on standard?
