Will these work with normal bulbs?!?! I cant seem to find an answer.

They're designed for halogen bulbs. The guy from dectane said using HID bulbs will void your warranty with them.

Ive found two sets of FL ones, just waiting to confirm if they are RHD

How much were they and they look like the previous model ones with all projector style compared to the set in the amazon link?

The ones from amazon, are most likely to be Left hand drive mate, I have contacted amazon and they have said they dont know if its Left or Right hand drive. Therefore i have decided they are left from what i have heard from contacting dectane themselves.

Apparently dectane have not supplied any Right hand drive models therefore amazon or anyone else would not be able to get them for uk road users.

This is why i have got these instead! I think these will look ok though =]
What do you think?

EDIT: These were £250 from autoart lighting =]

They look nice, will wait to see how they look when properly on the car and how the light output is.

Are you going for standard or HID bulbs?

Im going for Xenon look bulbs first, if they are Sh*t i will change to HID Kit
Also i will upload pics when i have installed the lights =]

I would be tempted by these, but I'm not sure I like the all projector look. I think the other ones looked nicer.

I'm going to see if I can twist Dectane's arm into doing some for me :D

@Willz17, they look great, man. I like the fact that the LED strip is smaller, which probably means it'll be brighter and not overdoing it. From the looks of it, it also has two projector lenses in each unit? If that's the case, that's perfect, because projector lenses are that much better than regular lamps.

If you want my advice regarding the HID, then go for HID in the fog lights as well as the dipped beam but either leave the high beam as it is or get Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs which are much brighter than the regular bulbs as well as stronger, longer, and supposedly consume either the same amount or less power.

High beam HID kits are horrible, however cheap or expensive they are, as they'll require warming up no matter what. Which means you'll have a hard time flashing, which is what I used the high beam for mostly. I also noticed that the Osram Nightbreaker Plus is almost as strong as my previous high beam HID, honest to God.

Let us know what you'll do. And by the way, fitting the head lights is very easy. I just took both of mine out yesterday in order to install the Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs, because I always have a really hard time installing high beam bulbs whereas the dipped beam ones are very easy to access and replace.

Hey guys,
Contacted amazon a few days ago regarding the projector headlights on Amazon.co.uk.
They have now got back to me and here is their email they sent to me.

Hello,

Further to your E-mail, I have received an update from our Fulfilment team regarding the "Dectane SWSI04ALGXB D-Lite Headlights Seat Leon 1P Daylight Running Lights Black [Right-Hand Drive Vehicles]":

"As already replied by the vendor, that is not legal for Right-Hand Drive Vehicles."

We apologise if this causes any inconvenience.

If you have any further query, please feel free to write back to us and we will be happy to help.

I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Warmest regards,

So my theory was right, Dectane do not make these lights for UK use =[
alternative is only 1 way, and that is to buy from autoart lighting.

Thanks mate, and as requested pictures are uploded =]

I am dissapointed though as a piece of the kit is missing, some sort of led canbus box therefore daytime lights come on, then go off after a second or two. get light error on dashboard. I have contacted autoart and they will be sending one out to me soon =]

Anyways here are the pictures, took about 1.5hours to fit with me and my mate.

That's some beautiful work done, mate. Congratulations.

Sorry about the canbus thing. I recommend you don't turn the LEDs on at all till you get the CANBUS kit because I've heard that since the car will keep receiving different volts and stuff, it may hurt the Power Supply, but I'm not sure.

Best of luck to you and don't forget pictures when the kit comes.
