Ive had this 1.4 spot black ibiza for a year now and i really am starting to hate it for reasons below if u agree then post .

1) back seats have no space at all, im kind of tall so when i drive my seat is kind of back and that means people in the back get squashed and all sorts.

2) fog lights have a mind of there own turning on and off when cornering.

3) hardly any space inside the glovebox.

4) windscreen washer finishes very quickly, could be due to the fact that it sprays the fluid out from 6 holes?

5) dropped coins are impossible to collect from the sides.

6) car is sluggish!

and the list goe son

1 - It's a 3 door hatchback - what were you expecting and why did you buy it if it was too small?

2 - fog lights dont have a mind of there own, they are supposed to come on when cornering

3 - what are you trying to put in there, your golf bag?

4 - finishes quickly? i've used mine everyday for about 2months before having to fill it up?

5 - dont drop your coins

6 - dont be cheap, get a cupra

Now for a REAL problem with this car - My fuel economy is F-ukk-inn awefull - whilst driving home from work, which is a 25min drive through urban, back roads and 15 mins of motorway, i tried my up most to keep the revs down, timed junctions for minimal breaking and never accelerated hard, and my average for the journey was 43.9mpg. It was painful and boring. I cant do that everyday, whats the point of having a cupra?! i may as well got a sport  any one else having similar problems?

43.9 mpg in urban driving thats good in a cupra!! i only get that sort on the combined cycle and its quoted as 44.1mpg combined for the cupra

aye it wouldnt be so bad if i could get that without having to concentrate on every move i make, lane changes, traffic lights, junctions, round abouts, everything.

I bought a cupra so i could drive "spiritly" but doing that i average between 24-28mpg on the same journey.

spending so much money on fuel its sick...

ive got a 60 mile daily commute in my cupra 1 hour each way :p usually average just below 40mpg....about town i usually get low 30's tho and to quote my father "you drive like a rally driver all the time" "gooooo stop goooo stop"

then there has to be something up with my car, if i do that go stop go stop, id easily be in the low 20's without a doubt. It's actually frustrating the hell out of me because I conscious all the time of not driving too hard because i cant afford it.

I pushed my car real hard on a 5-10min journey through some back roads the other night coming home from a mates house....i used 2 bars of petrol..... that cant be right surely??? no matter how hard i push it..??:wtf:

still for 180bhp and 0-62 ~7secs 40mph isnt bad!!! and its only £125 a year to tax and £450 to insure. i get the same milage as my dads 2.2 diesel honda when driving normal

its all about staying off the boost if u go above 2500 revs or push the pedal too hard u pee fuel but if your gentle and smooth u get good mpg.....i got 41mpg average on a 2000mile trip to and from croatia and was filling up the same time as my dad was in the diesel so i was well chuffed

hmmm i drive 15 miles B road home on sunny days (B803 wattson - slamannan (15 miles at 60 ;) = about 15mins)) and i cane it sometimes and ive never used more than a bar before and i still average 32 lowest average (including 15miles motorway driving before)

minimum i ever get out a tank is 320 miles but i usually get around 380-400

i run it on tesco momentum 99 just incase it makes a difference oh and check you tyre pressures i had a slow puncture and it killed my mpg
