Dear All,

Does anyone know what the whirling noise behind the front bumper is before egnine start-up and after turning offf the engine?

Is it to allow oil to contine flowing to the turbo?

Regards.

i know after turn off on the mk4 ibiza fr its the coolant pump still pumping coolant around to help it cool down after turning the engine off and before start up i think its the fuel pump most posibly!

You're right about the coolant Gaz - its a little pump to keep the coolant going around the system for a few minutes after the engine stops.

tops your turbo and engine going pop eventually. should always warm up and cool down though on top of this, my friend blew his turbo on his RS coz he didnt do this (even though i told him to)

£1k later i laughed and just said "Told ya so!"
