Give the car a nice wash etc, looks great until you drive off and a load of water comes out of the door mirror base and up the door glass

Yeah, a lorry went by on the other side of the road yday as I was driving past some new houses being built... got orangey / brown water from bottom door sills to the top of my window.Give the car a nice wash etc, looks great until you drive off and a load of water comes out of the door mirror base and up the door glass![]()
That would drive me nuts! I go in 2 hours early to get a parking space. Annoying really as some days (especially as it's getting darker) I'd prefer the extra time in bed.Same as every day, not being able to park at work.

It's down to logistics really... there are 70ish parking spaces. If we narrow it down to spaces where only 1 car can park alongside leaves 8. 2 have a footpath drop kerb (risk of pushchairs scratching my bumper). 1 is under a tree. 1 is opposite the delivery drop off area. 3 are next to grass (which they seem to cut with a hedge trimmer twice a week). So effectively there's only 1 parking space.@Legojon...reminds me of a old Roy Castle song “Dedication,Dedication,Dedication that’s what you need.lol![]()
It's a nightmare, mate. I work at a University and during term time it is chaos. There are parking regulations but they are completely useless and unenforceable. I used to arrive early to work, around 8am and it wasn't a problem but since both kids have started school in September I have to do the school run so can't get in until 9:15 at the earliest. That would drive me nuts! Ah yeah, I feel your pain. I do college in the evenings. So you'd think getting a space would be easy. The college car park is next to a public pay n display. Only some of the office workers have twigged like yours noone checks the fickin parking passes, so they can effectively get free parking for the day. So getting a space is reliant on if they are doing overtime that evening or not. I made the mistake once of leaving it on the pay and display from 6pm-9pm and came back to find a cigarette smoking away on the roof. Needless to say I was fuming! It's a nightmare, mate. I have had to dump my car on a side street the last two days and having only picked up the car on Sunday it is driving me mad. Half expecting the residents of the street to put it on bricks or bricks through it!
I imagine cobblestone roads are a nightmare.Another puncture on the Ateca... that’s 4 or 5 in about 3 months... the slate round here is a real tyre killer. Can’t be plugged either as the holes it causes are too big. Ffs.
The cobblestone ones are fine its the unpaved ones that are a problem....I imagine cobblestone roads are a nightmare.
He's real! Just sign of the times, they've outsourced his job. What made me mad today? View attachment 10608
Just found out he mustn’t be real.
After nearly 40 years!
Not bad pay though. Lol
Thank god you just posted that @Legojon, I couldn’t sleep last night because of @Nathan Penny’s post. I needed reassurance that the big fella was real. I try to stay awake every year to catch a glimpse of him but he’s all ways one step ahead of the game and I miss him. Even had a mince pie in my hand one year and he took a bite and I didn’t feel a thing. He's real! Just sign of the times, they've outsourced his job.
