Im runnuing a gt30 on my mk2 golf with omex manegment and im after a set of cooler running plugs if anybody has any part numbers or places to get them from would be gratefull cheers Aaron..

AVOID Densos
NGK-R are what i use now after 3 out of 4 of my densos broke their ceramics and did a lot of internal engine damage!

several Denso users on 1.8t's seem to have suffered the same fate..

i will never use them again. they do not stand by their products

Used Denso for ages here with no issues at all. Also used on the race car for a year inc the 24 hour race. Did have one issue with them fitted to a corrado, but that was because the piston fell apart and fooked the plug. NGK's also work very well and had no issues with them either.

i too had used denso ik22 for years..

never again... more than a few suffer the same ceramic breaking and subsequent damage on these. they are not robust enough

correct heat range choice is key of course, but denso when speaking with them would not guarantee a plug for my own motor, which says a lot to me.. drag racers wont touch them either these days, and broken ceramics is the common thread

beware of your choice

where can i get some of the ngk-r plugs from? do you have a part number? car is now back on the road now so im goin to start treating it

I had an IK22 come loose in it's ceramic. I only noticed because the pressure passing through the plug was popping the coil pack up.

I put it down to them being old and ordered a new set.:headhurt:

I wont touch denso now.. they dont stand by their products when push comes to shove.

NGK for me now - after failed denso's have cost be a head and valve set.

ngk for me, but get a grade cooler. close gap down to say 0.6-0.7
depending on boost

Anyybody have any part numbers for ngk plugs on big turbo cars that there using please

BKR7E Is a good NGK R plug same as Ibiza plugs but 1 grade colder. Had 2 sets of them now, never had any problems at all, great plugs.

What should i be gapping the NGK bkr8eix to or are they ok out of the box. i know its been discussed on here before but i can't find it. Is 28 thou as Dave suggests ok.
