Hi People!

As per title i just want to know which remap have guys had loaded on to your Leon FR and how much of a difference has it made to the overall performance?

Also what kind of issues (if any) have you had due to the remaping?

Thanks in advance.

I had bluefin stage 1, 2 and 2+.

stage 1 made 241hp, 249Ibft. Very smooth, but as you can seen not exactly that powerful. and low torque.

stage 2 and 2+ were obviously more powerful, but the delivery of the power was poor.

i changed to shark performance stage 3, then stage 2 and am now running stage 1 so ive had a fair few remaps on my car you could say The improvment over the bluefin remaps was huge.

My shark performance stage 1 made 240Hp, 270Ibft much stronger and nice and smooth

Bluefin stage 1. Love it. But then I'm not really into maxxing up my car. I just felt that as stock it didn't have quite enough oomph. Put stage 1 Bluefin on and straight away loved it.
This is what the car should be like at standard.

Interesting so far...

Came on guys there must be others on here who have had their FR remapped?

See you are based in Leicester. So get yourself to Monster Motorsport (Neil the owner is a great guy and so are the rest of the staff).

I have used them albeit on a cupra.

They can install the 5 hour trial of revo stage 1 software for you (think this is still free but maybe a small admin charge). You can then try for yourself and go back as necessary for the full version.

Revo is a little more expensive than most but MonsterMotorsport where doing discounts at one stage for seatcupra.net members

They have a sponsored link on here too.

Check them out and see.

As for issues, the cars and internals are pretty robust, so just a remap at stage1 is fine ou do not need to upgrade anythingelse (unless you want to of course!)

Thanks for the feedback people!

Can i throw this into the mix, as you guys have had you cars remapped i take it u can't have a vehicle diagnostics scan actioned by the Seat dealer as the ECU has been modifed?

My understanding is that if the ECU has been tampered with the dealers won't touch your car?

im on superchips bluefin, was stage 2 on my fr and loved it, but then unlike simon (vrsy) ive got nothing to compare it with except the stock fr. ive got bluefin on my cupra now, going stage 2 tomorrow, still love it, but again, ive got no comparison. of your going for stage 1 id say youll be happy with any of the big companies, its when you go beyond that that the differences will be more apparent

You can still do a diagnostic scan (using VAGCOM) even with remaps and there is nothing stoppinf SEAT from doing this..

The only thing that may happen is SEAT will from time to time release new software for their cars to cater for minor errors or upgrades. If they flash your ECU with an upgraded map you will lose the remap as it goes back to standard.

It's easy to put the map back on with proof of purchase and a small admin fee if not done free for you.

me too once i've done a few more mods, we have just had the generic map on our TT and its a very nice, smooth & progressive map.

At the last rolling road day there were two stage 1 vRS.. Mine with stage 1 shark performance, another with jabba custom stage 1.

mine made 240Hp 270Ibft, with no mods.
his made 247Hp, 270Ibft with neuspeed induction kit.

i reached my peak power 700rpm before and maintained that power for 1500rpm. the jabba peaked at 247hp momentarily. torque curves were identical. considering mine is just a generic map and his was custom set up we were pretty impressed with the shark map.

on the road, they were neigh on identical with absolutely no difference.

for a generic stage 1 map i think the shark map is outastanding and has matches the best of the revo/jabba stage 1's when on the smae RR days.

If i am to get a custom map it will be along with a raft of modifications(stage 2+ at least) at the same time. other wise i dont think the extra cost is justified at such a low stage of performance.

ive seen some of the things jabba can do when it comes to really modified cars and im keen to let them have a go next time.
