what to buy !!!

Hi there guys ,

Right my Fr is coming close to going and the saving has begun , Now i have thought and thaught and after concidering various fast fords i have come back the the LCR . Mainly beacuse i like the people and the scene .

Now im not sure how much the prices would have dropped by then but my options are , Buy an 03 ish reg LCR with around 70k - onwards on the clock Then spend the rest of the money or a little more on getting the engine rebuilt with forged internals , skimmed etc and then a hybrid k04 fitted.

Or buy a 50-60k car and still do the same but much later when the car will still be on 70k ish lol.

If i was to buy 70 - 80 what other issues may i face, Exhaust , bushes , suspension will all be replaced anyway over time so effectivly i should have a like new car ? .
Anyone done this before or running some moon miles ? .

Let me know what you think guys , Am not trying to do it the cheap way just makes sence really :S:S.

O and another one what colour do i get l! . Yellow or red

Is your FR petrol? And is it the same as the Cupra with 180bhp? If so you could just do all those bits you said and get close to 280bhp in a car you already own.

If you do change and get an LCR then yellow is a nice colour but fades very badly, I know as I have an ovni LC and the only way to solve that problem is a re-spray.

red lcr are faster and get a low milage one and one that ant add any modds done or maybe get 1 of scn then you no its been looked after

Yer i have a petrol . Its up to 200 at the moment but i prefer the look of the cupra r anyway ! .

Yer im thinking red as they do look sexy i like yours wayne .
what sort of millage are you running ?

And as for the yellow i was having a think on the way to work this morning ,got here and saw an arosa in yellow and it was faded like mad ! , Almost white .

just done 70 k but ive but about 40 k on it in 4 year. so i no how its been treated most stuff i buy is straight from the dealers.it helps when my friend works there and get 17.5% discount

have a look at jamjays readers ride i think he had to have is ovni lcr repainted so you could ask him what yellow lcr,s are like to live with

Well whatever i get it will be around 55k . It scares me slightly though as i bought my Fr on 29k and its now on 50. Thats since last may ! . So whatever i have its going to have to do over 100k .

And i plan to keep for 2 years soo .

well the lower the miles is better for you then it seems if you do alot of miles

Yer its trying to work out how i do so much though !:S . No real reason for it just shorter trips i beleve.

new discs and pads all the way round,filter,tip.upper boost hoses,coldside relocation.upper and lower strut braces.fmic,n249 by-pass.wheels painted in gloss black,forge 007 dv.custom 1 off exhaust cat back,hella side indicaters.short shift and side,carnt remem what else lol o headlight covers tinted

If its any help I got my 04 LCR about 4 months ago with 65k on the clock for £6500 : )
