Ok so just look for pd130-150 set up and use that seems to be my best bet. My engine code ASV. I am on tge hunt for bits now.

Is there any good places to look for breakibg PD150 appart from the obvious?

If you do a google search or a search on the tdi club forum they would have the low down in it ARL turbo upgrade. I only know that they are the preferred turbo of choice but I never got as far as actually doing it to my leon so I not 100 % sure on the finer detail.

I myself would try and get one from a reconditioners rather than getting one a breakers. Or if you knew of one that was working for sure then that would be a good job. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I've managed to get a great deal done today.
From a PD150 I've bought,
Turbo, Intercooler and pipework, Airbox and pipework and inlet manifold.

The turbo will be reconditioned or hybrided depending on cost.

Just nozzles and remapping to sort now.

you'll not be dissapointed at about 200bhp. A quaife LSD might be a thing to think about. With 160 bhp and toyo proxes T1-s tyres I was able to light up the tyres in the wet in third with full throttle and letting the engine come on boost. My mate says it helps getting off side, acceleration wise, but in the bends if you get on the throttle and exceed the traction breaking point it can pull the nose of the car accross the road. On the other hand a 10% open/standard differenial will allow the inner wheel to spin up an still sort of pull the car round the corner. But I get the impression that a LSD will allow higher cornering speeds than an open differencial, correct me If I'm wrong somebody, and only pulls the front end if you push past the limit so finding the limit would be the trick. From timing a fair few launches I reckon if I didn't wheel spin so much I could post 7 sec 0-60 mph instead of 7.5 sec.

I'm not sure about fwd lsd tbh.

I have a 40% atb in my other car but that's mental.

We'll just get it moving first and see what else it needs

I think that's what quaifes are, automatic torque biasing. It's been a while since I was on their site. I don't have much call these days to be looking at diffs that cost more than half the value of the car these days. :D Still hope the tubo fairy drops by though. What's your other mental wagan?

1986 chrome bumper E30 BMW.
I built a custom 24v 3.0lt lump for it. Which is really nice! 260+BHP and just under ton weight

I know this is slightly off topic.

Apart from the obvious where should I be looking for a MK1 Leons Cupra R front bumper.

Does anyone know of one for sale?

Graphite Grey would be best!

Cheers

Up about 100 bhp and in and around 200 kg lighter than a 325i sport which I always wanted but they're just too rusty now. Guy in work beat me in a race by an reasonable margin, 4 car lengths over a wee test run we use over here, in one when I had the leon tuned. Yours sounds like it would have been posivitely scarey. Gumtree or ebay or advertise in the wanted section on the forum for the bumper.

Yeah my chromie will spin it's 225, 40x16 T1rs in the dry, under hard throttle, in third.

I've tried to put a wanted add up for a bumper. We'll see if it turns one up.

if you break traction you'll spin both wheels and it will understeer, but it will break traction less easily and generally pull you into and around corners. unless it's wet, mine can be a twat in the wet

It is indeed an uprated quaife unit, with 40% lockup. It's like an on off switch.

yep, mine's a peloquin atb - get on the power through a corner and rather than spinning up an inside wheel it tends to just kind of pull you around the corner, which is a weird (but good) feeling. it's good

The way you discribe it, it sounds like it would benefit me a treat. Once mine spins up the inside wheel both of them start sliding the front end. My suspension needs looked at but the extra pull round the corner would definately help. All I need to do now is save up the readies or rob a bank. Solisitating is not an option.:D

Turbo technics are looking about £550 to hybrid an exchange unit.

Darkside developements seem to do a good deal on nossles. 0.240um might be good size for that setup, 200 bhp, then if you want more power the nossles can flow more to facilitate.

Right my go faster bits turned up on wednesday.

PD150 turbo, intercooler and pipework. I also go airbox and inlet manifold. The airbox has the same part number as my 04 TDI 110. I look the same as does the inlet manifold. Will there be any point in changing them?

Is it worth while soaking th einlet and fitting it anyway once its de coaked?

Thanks again boys!:funk:

Oh and the turbos away next week to be played with and Im picking up a set of S3 recaro leathers today [B)]
