Tune the 110, it's a strong as f**k lump and can take a fair pounding, the cam shafts don't tend to screw up either which is another £600.

Nozzles is easy enough, .216 from the T4 van or the volvo with the 2.5L 5cyl engine. Turbo and mani etc from the PD 150 and a map you'll hit that sort of power easy.

Seriously, how much is it really going to cost to buy a complete PD150 engine, turbo, lift pump, ecu, engine loom (complete), gearbox etc etc, nuts!

The 110 can handle 250bhp at least on standard internals too. The standard pump is fine for 180-200.

All you need are injector nozzles, turbo, mani and some pipes, clutch and tune. A lot cheaper than the PD150 route.

Speak to Ryan

He'll sort you out and make you smile for sure.

Thanks for your reply mate. Cracking info.

I think I will speak to Ryan. 180-200 bhp is exactly what I looking for.

You would find that the 110 bhp engine is a lot easier to live with as it developes more torque than the pd engines between idle and 1800 rpm. This lack of torque is even more apparrent in the pd engines when tuned (very severe on drive train components). The 110bhp engines don't suffer from this.

And it's built like a brick **** hoose :D

And there's four variants of the same engine that can be had for a couple of hundred quid from the scrappies.

Get it lit!

Sorry it's an eBay item number. I'm talking to the company and they are checking. Just wanted someone to check it as well.

Id be happy with 180-200bhp for now.

Yes to the clutch, that's the one that most folk get if they have the 5spd box.

ABL is the 1.9 td I think, you want the ones from the 2.5 5cyl engine. It came in some of the vans and also some volvo cars.

There's these ones

DSLA 150 P502 and DSLA 150P 1019 and DSLA 150P 764

Darkside developments sell them complete but you could ask about fitting nozzles to your injectors

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/1-9-2-5-tdi-ve-injectors-with-bosch-216-nozzles.html

That's for the bodies too

I got the power plus 764 ones like in here

http://www.dbwllc.net/nozzle-guides/ve-nozzle-guide/

But bought them from here

http://www.kermatdi.com/servlet/the--dsh--dsh-VW-NOZZLES-and-INJECTORS/Categories

he was doing a special offer at the time through the tdi club so I got lucky.

Thanks again mate.. I appreciate your input.

I've bought the clutch direct from the company with an uprated friction plate. That's on its way

I am going to change injectors (For the darkside Bosch items) , Turbo, intercooler, and Air box for PD150 items. I think I might have a recon turbo sorted for not alot of coin.

After a remap, I'll see where that set up gets me before deciding on my next steps. Thanks again for all the input so far!

Keep us posted on what turbo you go with and what power you get. :) When I rob a bank I'll have to decide what turbo I'm going to go with. :D I wonder what the difference is then between the clutch kit you got and the golf VR6 clutch that I put in my wagon?

Is it possible to use a 2.0lt 170 bhp turbos usable. As in a straight swap onto my manifold?

They use a couple of different types on the 2.0 engine. A more straight forward/commonly performed swap is to use a turbo from an ASZ or ARL TDI engine as they use the same type as the ASV engine if that is your engine code. The mate used to prefer the ASZ turbo but I think that was size related as it was going into a MK2 golf maybe boosted eariler as well. I'm not 100% sure as to supporting mods i.e. maybe a 130bhp intake manifold could be required.

how does lower torque put more stress on the drive train? its the high low-down torque or the PD130's that kills clucthes and flywheels.....

Ok so just look for pd130-150 set up and use that seems to be my best bet. My engine code ASV. I am on tge hunt for bits now.

Is there any good places to look for breakibg PD150 appart from the obvious?
