As title says really, here about people deleting them from their car, what does it do and how do you do it? I've had the lower boost hose popping off my pd130 and someone recommended deleting the erg?

So directs exhaust gas back into the engine which is not really good when the engine needs clean air. What most folks do is buy a blanking plate with a small hole (or drill one themselves) which allows a small amount of gas through to fool the sensor and keep the light off.
Most people agree the car runs better with the EGR blanked but a few have reported excess smoking under hard throttle, so its a grey area really and you kinda pay your money and take your choice. Its on my list of "do's" now mine is out of warrenty along with de-cating the exhaust at some futre point in time.

Well i have not done mine so you will have to wait for someone to come on here with pics etc
I guess you go on ebay and buy a blanking plate for about a fiver and then drill a small hole (iam guessing about 8mm) Then un-bolt the EGR and put the plate in between. Hopefully the light stays off and the car runs better.

Just to point out that the EGR only operates at PART throttle.
If you floor it everywhere the EGR will not be doing anything.
There are four ways to delete it.
1. Just pull the vac hose off the EGR and blank it off - some cars show a fault with this so it can't be done this way.
2. Put a blanking plate in to the exhaust feed pipe ( this can also throw up a fault ) - a popular mod is a smaller hole gasket rather than a blanking plate.
3. Have the EGR deleted in the software as part of a remap but leave it on the car.
4. Have the EGR deleted in the software as part of a remap and also remove the EGR with an EGR delete pipe.
( I am not a big fan of this method because you also remove the anti shudder valve along with the EGR. )
