Help, was going up the road before and was going to do a u turn in a junction but did not indicate and i pulled right infront of this guy.

What kind of price am i looking at to get the damage repaired. The excess on my insurance is about £500.

The tracking is well out now as he hit my wheel as i was turning.

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks!

Pricey. I'd say £400 for wing and bumper at least. Bumper just needs spraying but you'll need a wing. Maybe a splash guard too. Then you've probably smashed the wishbone is he gave your wheel a wack. Might have bent your strut.

Go through insurance. End bill could be £800ish. Depends on what damage has been done to your strut - wishbone - steering rack etc. Want a new wheel and tyre really too. Wheel will be £100ish I'm guessing and tyre will be £70ish?

Right. Thanks for that. The car still drives ok, but the steering wheel is not straight and there is a scraping sound at full lock etc.

Wheres best to get it checked out, normal garage or a body specialist??

Thanks.

I actually repaired an Ibiza that had a wheel hit, damage was much worse than your car though.
I'd say wishbone and steering arm would be bent. Possibly damage to the shock and mabye even the driveshaft. Wheel looks like it could be refurbed, tyre looks low on tread anyway so i'd just change it.
Bodywork wise a secondhand wing can be picked up cheap, I think a silver ibiza is being broken on ebay...worth a look. Otherwise Seat charge about £50 for a new one. Bumper will go again just needs a respray.

If i was you i'd get the front wheels off and compair each side to see what parts are damaged or bent. could post some more pics on here aswell, just so you know in the back of your mind whats involved. Then take it to a garage to get an estimate. Personally i'd say worst case your looking at around £700-800 fully repaired with new parts. But you may be able to knock a few hundred off if you source second hand parts
