Hey!

Done the standard search, came up with 2 threads...:(

Never having owned a turbo car, how is this classed for road tax, and how badly will we be stung when the new tax prices come into effect?

The government. Stitching up drivers for the new millennium!

Mine too! 205 is ok though. Not like 400 odd for a 4x4. 300% increase in parking for them in Richmond too!. Feckers!

iirc the new 300/400 rates only apply to new cars registered from the 1st Apirl 2007 ;)

Buy used = winner :)

Or just buy something equally fun with < 225g/km of CO2 emmissions :D

Thats gone up £15 from last year then for my cupra... but then they've knocked off £15 for my diesel Arosa so I'm no better or worse off! :)

Glad I started buying the car tax savings stamps a while back then, means it's less money to find from somewhere when the time comes :)

was 190 for my LC
so now 195

its only the higest band that are getting totally mutalated with 400+

Considering the state of the roads around here, I'd say £205 could be considered a mullering too!

my boss has just bought an rx 8. 300 year 1... 400 after! hes gutted.

does anybody know how the cars are classed for this.?

as in are the cars classed by the emissions they produce when first built at the factory?

or will the yearly mot emissions check be used?

if its the latter then wont our remaps and mods attact higher fees?

It's the manufacturers quoted figures :)
