Wheel arch liner plastic clips. Best removal method

I am getting ready to remove the front wheel arch liners so I can cut back the foam blocks.

How do the plastic clips come off ? Do you pull the centre pin out ?

I think that you just ease up the T shaped pin in the middle, I think that it is wasted/wedged and once you draw it out so far, the complete fixing/rivet can be eased up and out.

Just don't try to pull the centre pin out completely.

It does seem to have a slot either side of the centre pin to prise with a small screw driver. Bet I end up breaking the buggers.
