Hi all

Looking at wheel spacers at the mo for the rear of the Leon to widen the stance.

Have any of you done this?

What do I need? I have seen the spcers with the screws, but do I also need longer wheel bolts?

Any info is welcomed fellas

Mike

Yes - 16mm look lovely!

Longer bolts will be required and new longer locking bolts too.

I did have 16mm spacers back and 10mm front but ended up getting the new wheels made up with an ET of 25 which is effectively a 10mm spacer all round.

Damn lol. I just spent a load on bolts and locking bolts for my car and the new wheels. What a ball ache haha

Depends how wide you're planning / how wide your current wheels will let you go...

If it's in the region of 15mm you'd be safer with re-bolt spacers anyway, so you'll bolt the spacers to the hubs with the shallow head bolts supplied and use your existing bolts & locking bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacers

the B, O, L & T keys on my keyboard now have faded letters from excessive use :p

Ah so if I got some 15mm spacers, I would get away wil my current bols and locing bolts?

Just need to find some cheap but decent spacers now

Anybody?

lol....good one...

seems you have a lot of mucking about to do when you get spacers i.e longer bolts, longer security bolts etc etc

i think h&r spacers are about £80 from damian@dmp and forge ones are about the same on their site (tho forge ones don't comes with bolts).

I now have a full spare set of longer H&R bolts seen as though its taken H&R over 5 weeks to send me the right bolts.

The spare full set are for non-standard wheels though (60° Cone Collar), i'm putting my 15mm H&R spacers on today, shall post before and after pics.

lol - good fun eh.

The H&R ones come with bolts :)

I think the Forge ones don't come with any bolts....but I could be wrong..

I have popped a note in the "wanted" section, and am keeping an eye on ebay.

chris, any chance of some shots from the rear? when u say 15mm, is this each side yea? so 30mm total track difference? cheers

No - what 'TllEWL' was saying is that if you buy the type of spacers where they bolt to the hubs and then your wheels bolt to the spacers you could use your existing bolts.

However, if you use bolt-through spacers, you'll need long bolts to go through the spacers into the hubs
